Extraction 101

Liquid Diamondz vs. Cured Resin vs. Live Resin: What's the Difference?

Loot Bar Team · August 8, 2026

Loot Bar runs five product lines on the same hardware, but the extraction type is what actually shapes the flavor and feel of each one. Here's the difference between the three concentrate-based lines.

Liquid Diamondz

THCa diamonds — crystallized, near-pure cannabinoid structures — are liquefied and paired with freshly squeezed cannabis terpenes. It's the most potency-forward line in the lineup, built for people who want maximum strength with a clean, terpene-true flavor rather than an additive-based one.

Cured Resin

Cured resin starts from cannabis flower that's been dried and cured the traditional way before extraction, which is what gives it a fuller, rounder flavor profile — closer to what you'd get from the flower itself.

Live Resin

Live resin is extracted from flower that's flash-frozen immediately after harvest, before it ever dries or cures. Skipping that step preserves more of the plant's original terpene profile, which tends to come through as a brighter, more true-to-strain flavor.

Which one to pick

There's no wrong answer — it comes down to what you're after. Liquid Diamondz leans toward potency, Cured Resin toward a fuller traditional flavor, and Live Resin toward the brightest, most strain-accurate terpene profile. All three run on the same ceramic-coil hardware, so switching between them is just a matter of picking up a different device or cartridge.
